What everything costs
These are our standard rates for all work, residential, rural and commercial alike. We are a small operation with low overheads, so our rates stay fair and competitive. Larger jobs are quoted in writing before we start, the quote is free, and we keep this guide up to date.

How we charge
Two ways a job gets priced
Most jobs fall naturally into one of two pricing options, but if you would prefer a fixed quote over hourly rates, or vice versa, just ask us before we book it in. We will always confirm exact pricing or rates upfront so there are no surprises.
Charged hourly
Repairs, maintenance, blocked drains and anything we cannot scope until we are looking at it. Minimum one hour, then in 15 minute increments, so a 70 minute job is charged as 75 rather than two hours.
Quoted per project
New builds, renovations, gasfitting, drainlaying, tank and pump installs and commercial fit-outs. You get a written quote before we start, and it is free.
Need a fixed price for a small job? If you are replacing a tap, mixer or toilet and prefer a fixed price before we arrive, send us a photo of your setup with your enquiry for a quick upfront quote.
Travel zones
One travel charge per job, not per hour
Zone 1, $30
Wellington City, Porirua and Lower Hutt. Charged once per job, however long we are on site.
Zone 2, $40
Wainuiomata, Eastbourne, Upper Hutt, Pukerua Bay and the Kapiti Coast.
Outside those?
Ask. We travel further for scheduled work, and we will tell you the travel cost before you commit to anything.

FAQs
Questions about pricing
Is the quote really free?
Yes. Written quotes for renovations, new builds, gasfitting, drainlaying and larger installs cost nothing, whether or not you go ahead with us.
Free quotes need a site visit during office hours. Physical labour, use of tools, or appliance access for diagnosis is charged at our hourly plumbing rate.
Do your prices include GST?
No. Every figure on this page excludes GST, so add 15% for the total you will actually pay.
What counts as after hours?
Anything outside Monday to Friday, 7:30am to 4:30pm, plus public holidays. Additional charges apply and are quoted on the circumstances rather than from a fixed list, because a Sunday evening callout and a 5pm Tuesday finish are not the same thing.
Will I be charged if the job takes less than an hour?
There is a one hour minimum, which covers getting to you with a stocked van. After that first hour it is charged in 15 minute increments.
Do I pay for parts on top?
Yes, at cost plus a small margin, and they are itemised. Small sundries such as washers and sealant are charged as a flat $10 to $15 per job rather than counted individually.
